   TAIZE FRIDAY EVENING ECUMENICAL PRAYER SERVICE--
    Held on the first Friday of each month at Our Mother of Sorrows
        Parish, 1800 S. Kolb Road. A meaningful way to unite the church
        communities of Tucson in song, word and prayer.

      "Thrivent Builds" -- Habitat for Humanity workday on the
             second Saturday of each month, 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
                   (call church office for directions)

       WISDOM OF THE DESERT -- Friday, July 11 and July 25.
                Something for body, mind and spirit! Meet at Sabino Canyon
                (by Visitors Center) at 6:30 a.m. Some writings of the desert
                       monastics are shared as we hike into the desert,
                       then gather again to share our desert reflections.

Other Standing Dates and Activities . . .
Adult Choir - Meets in Sanctuary on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. from September through May.

Spoken Eucharist at 9 a.m. on Thursdays (September through May).

"Thursday Journey" - Bible Study and informal "no prerequisites required" discussion group
focusing on a variety of materials. Meets in Activities Room on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.
(September through May).

Guild - Supporting the activities of the congregation, and offering fund raising, events planning and
other activities. Meetings include a Bible study from Lutheran Women Today, led by pastor. Meets
in Activities Room on 1st Tuesday of each month at 10 a.m.

Church Council - All welcome to participate in the monthly meetings of the congregation
leadership. Meets in Activities Room on 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m.

Fun & Faith - A devotion begins the morning followed by board games of all types and yummy
desserts. Meets in Activities Room on 3rd Friday of each month at 10 a.m. - noon. (September
through May)

Primavera - Providing meals to homeless men of the community on a monthly basis. Food is
collected in Activities Room on 3rd Friday of each month at 4 p.m. and transported to the Primavera
Shelter

Footnotes Newsletter - mailed to each household monthly, with articles due in the church office by
the 20th of each month.

In addition to these Lutheran Church of the Foothills activities, the church is host site to Friday
evening 12-step groups, Cub Scouts, community organizations and neighborhood Homeowners
Associations.
